Kristy Guthrie, Co-Founder and CEO
Kristy brings over 15 years of experience in communications strategy for nonprofits, for-purpose, and professional services organizations. She has developed hundreds of content strategies that combine clarity, creativity, and real-world impact. With a unique approach that blends instructional design and content marketing—enhanced by smart technology—Kristy helps clients stand out in crowded digital spaces.
The idea for municiPal AI was sparked during her time in municipal communications, where she saw the frustrations residents faced navigating city websites. With her deep understanding of constituent needs, digital service delivery, and the limitations of traditional CMS tools, Kristy envisioned a smarter way forward. municiPal AI is the result: a tool designed to bridge the gap between public service and digital experience.
Kerry Fraser, Co-Founder
Kerry is a driving force behind the development of municiPal AI, bringing more than 20 years of experience in marketing, digital media, and brand strategy. As President (Canada) and Partner at Troon Technologies, she leads a high-performing team of developers, engineers, and architects to deliver smart, scalable solutions across sectors.
Kerry has overseen the launch of large-scale platforms—from custom applications to advanced AI tools—always with a focus on privacy, compliance, and functionality. With deep expertise in healthcare and municipal tech, she brings both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to every project. Her mix of technical rigour, creative insight, and collaborative project management keeps teams focused, timelines tight, and solutions thoughtful. Kerry played a central role in shaping municiPal AI’s technical foundation and continues to guide its evolution to meet the real-world needs of municipalities.

municiPal AI is proudly a Canadian company, founded and operated within Canada. All data associated with municiPal AI is stored and processed on servers located in AWS Canada (Central) to ensure full compliance with federal and provincial data residency regulations. No data leaves the country, and no information is routed through third-party systems or foreign platforms. We adhere to Canadian privacy legislation including MFIPPA, PIPEDA, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), ensuring responsible data stewardship, transparency, and accountability at every stage of deployment.
