How do we ensure the AI gives accurate, unbiased answers?

municiPal AI is pre-trained on your approved content only. While this reduces risk, no AI is fully free from bias or error. We recommend assigning someone on your team to periodically review outputs. Built-in safeguards help detect sensitive topics and prevent storage of personal data.

Can we turn it off if something goes wrong?

Yes. Your team can disable municiPal AI at any time using native CMS controls, no vendor support needed.

Is municiPal AI accessible and AODA compliant?

Yes. The tool is WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant and works with existing accessibility tools like accessiBe. We also recommend maintaining traditional search options alongside the AI to support a range of user needs.

Will residents know they’re using AI?

Yes. A clear disclaimer will inform users they’re interacting with an AI tool, including how it works, where it gets its information, and what it can or can’t do.

What happens to the data if we end the contract?

All stored data is securely deleted. We follow best practices for encryption, access control, and secure disposal. Data is stored in AWS Canada (Central) and is never sold or shared.

The contract includes terms on data residency, encryption (in transit and at rest), retention policies, access controls, and ongoing support. We welcome review by your legal and IT teams.

What’s the risk of being an early adopter?
